Installed now: Alpine Halo11 iLX-F511
The Jeep already has an Alpine Halo11 iLX-F511 installed. That existing source unit gives the audio project a concrete starting point. The next step is to plan the rest of the system around the Jeep, the intended use and the equipment selected with the people who will help design and install it.
Proposed: Orion HCCA SPL bass system
Our preferred direction is a pair of 15-inch Orion HCCA SPL subwoofers with Orion HCCA amplification. Orion is our first choice for the performance and SPL portion of the project. This is a proposal, not an announcement of supplied equipment or a confirmed sponsorship.
We would like Orion’s input on the system architecture rather than publish a fixed shopping list before that conversation. Exact subwoofer versions, amplifier models, impedance configuration and enclosure specifications remain to be selected.
The decisions come as a package
- Enclosure and space: establish a layout that accounts for the Jeep’s interior and how we intend to use it.
- Electrical support: develop charging, storage, wiring, protection and installation requirements around the chosen equipment.
- Integration: decide how the installed Alpine source unit and supporting system hardware will work with the proposed bass system.
- Installation and tuning: document the work and the final settings as the system takes shape.
- Testing: publish actual SPL measurements and demonstrations only after they have been completed.
Where Alpine could fit
We are interested in discussing a complementary source and integration role with Alpine around the iLX-F511 already installed. That could include supporting hardware selected with their input. It is not currently a joint Orion–Alpine partnership; any collaboration would require agreement from the companies involved.
What we want to document
The story includes system planning, equipment selection, enclosure development, electrical preparation, installation, tuning and eventual demonstrations. Until those stages happen, renderings remain concept artwork and performance targets remain goals.
